Lately I’ve been playing around with neck position and shoulder position to improve the feel in the changes and pirouettes.It’s fascinating how much softness and clarity you can unlock by making just a few subtle adjustments – sometimes it’s as simple as asking the right thing in a different balance.Our next show is coming up in Darmstadt this weekend, and then the horses (and I) get a well-earned holiday. 📷 @fotodill

Two S-level placings for Leo this weekend, including a second place with over 77% and a technical score above 73% 💥Every ride with him feels like he levels up. I’m learning how to truly support him in the ring. We have been focusing on those quick gear changes between forward and collected work ⚙️✨We’ve also been tweaking his feed a little lately. I felt he sometimes needed a touch more energy on show days, and with Magnoturbo by @iwest_tierernaehrung we’ve found the perfect mix. We simply increase it slightly around competitions—and it’s made a real difference 🔋From his very first young horse class to now… bringing him up to this point myself makes this journey incredibly personal and meaningful 🖤 Thank you my little friend.*Ad

Show weekend ahead 🇩🇪Leo and I have been focusing on refining both the walk and canter pirouettes this week.For the canter pirouettes, I’ve worked on keeping the neck up and the canter in front of me — not letting him drift into travers, but staying centered and honest around my inside leg. Mini-pirouettes and clear forward-out moments after the turn help maintain the jump.In the walk pirouettes, the key is balance and reaction: he must stay soft to the rein, never stuck or against the hand — always listening, always thinking forward.These are the kind of rides that demand full focus — and I really appreciate equipment that stays light, breathable, and elegant even in the most concentrated moments @samshieldofficial 🖤*Ad📷 @fotodill
